The challenge

A European airline was having difficulty with the great complexity of its supply chain and wanted greater transparency and a better overview. 

Our solution

First, we used a standardized procedure to analyze and assess the status quo in the airline's delivery, transport and warehouse processes. During this stage, we identified a number of areas with potential for improvement and made suggestions for solutions, including the automation of the airline's warehousing solution and the establishment of IT processes for warehouse management, the introduction of new methods for packaging and sealing components that are ready for operational use, and suitable measures to improve transport paths. Moreover, we recommended greater transparency for all the airline's logistics processes, in part through an interface to AMOS. This will enable the costs of transport to be monitored and assessed continuously.
