Shopfloor Management for Efficient Processes

Partnership with lean consultancy Staufen extended

Lufthansa Technik Logistik Services GmbH (LTLS) and lean management consulting company Staufen AG are further expanding their cooperation. LTLS has developed Shopfloor Management (SFM) in cooperation with Staufen to address the logistical needs in the aviation business and has introduced the solution at its locations throughout Germany. External companies will visit LTLS in the framework of a BestPractice partnership and experience SFM live in logistics.

Shopfloor Management represents an important pillar of lean management at LTLS and as such supports management in the logistics company in communicating business performance indicators, processes, and measures. Problems can be identified immediately and addressed. Processes can be monitored precisely where they happen at the place of value added and new processes implemented.

"We are looking forward to continued cooperation with an internationally experienced lean management consulting company, which already has a large network of partner companies," said Andreas Meisel, Managing Director of Lufthansa Technik Logistik Services, at the signing of the contract in Frankfurt.

According to Wilhelm Goschy, member of the Executive Board of Staufen AG: "Our BestPractice network is the perfect backdrop for customers for demonstrating best practice in their industry. This is a sustainable method for kick-starting or enhancing their own improvement process."

Staufen AG, which operates internationally, is one of the top lean management consultancies in Germany. As a "partner on the path to top performance", Staufen AG supports companies in optimizing their value creation and management processes and making innovation and product development processes as efficient as possible. Furthermore, the consultants develop concepts to manage crisis situations as turnaround or interim managers. The Staufen Academy is a certified training provider, which focuses on practice-oriented seminars. More than 200 employees support customers at locations in Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, China, and Brazil. Staufen AG was honored by Brand eins Wissen und Statista in 2014 as "Best Consultant".
